Weekly wrap: Global indices end on positive note; Sensex, Nifty register 2.3% loss

Indian benchmark indices ended the week on a positive note with the Sensex gaining 2.3 percent while the Nifty was also up 2.3 percent. Across other Asian markets, the Nikkei gained 1.4 percent and closed on Friday at 21,469.20.
