Be someone who is persistent, but not pushy. Keep track of people or potential clients and ensure that you follow them up constantly according to those who are most likely to purchase down to those that are less likely to. Remember that a no now does not mean a no forever so while you are being persistent, offer them something new to add value to your discourse.

Being patient is also something that you should be especially in this kind of job. Many are very frantic in closing a deal with a client which results to them losing that client even before they were able to convince the person to purchase. Putting pressure on your clients would push them away so make sure that you are patient enough to wait as they weigh their options.

Another thing that one should develop is his interest in the field that he has chosen to take. Inquiring, doing research on things that will help him develop and be more well informed of his career as well as ways to improve himself as an agent is is a very good step. Being interested results to being well informed which allows one to discover ideas and improve his ways.

Another thing that is just as hard to bear is the trait of being disciplined. This means proper time management which permits you to allocate time to personally work on things that need your attention such as looking for clients and arranging meeting or appointments. Having the discipline to strictly follow your schedule is important for an agent to succeed.

Lastly, the execution of the duties expected from you should be well. Focusing on the important things now is much more advantageous and beneficial that worrying about something that is yet to happen. Ensure that your focus is in accomplishing what is right in front of you and not what is far ahead.

Such personalities may sound very basic but it can be hard to develop them. However, constant determination will be a key in order to accomplish what you want to accomplish. Observe these traits and you will be up the ladder of success in no time.
