The business of surveying land is complicated. The situation is not made better as there are many misconceptions going round about land survey and why it is needed. If you want to survey your land or even property that you are intending to buy, you may also have heard of these misconceptions and unfortunately, they could lead you astray. If the land had earlier been surveyed, a second survey is not necessary. Remember that surveying is an art and two of them may give different results. The surveyor gives measurements on the basis of the evidence that he finds and this evidence may be different from time to time.
